The Unique History of the Grand Pines Restaurant & Lounge.

THE ORIGINAL PINES HOTEL BEFORE BEING DESTROYED BY FIRE IN 1976. IT WAS REBULIT IN 1977.

The Historic Pines Restaurant & Lounge is the one of the Granddaddies of food and drink service on the Oregon Coast serving the locals and tourists alike generous helpings of homemade breakfast all day long since 1926. With its original grand lodge burned to the ground in a fire in 1976, it was raised again in 1977 without the hotel. Once the hub of several small towns that now make up Lincoln City, the Historic Pines Restaurant and Lounge was the epicenter for local activities including the headquarters for the annaul Red Head Round-Up. Rumored to once have been a brothel, it was once a dance hall entertaining sailors and loggers. The Pines has with stood the many events of History including 20 Presidents, the Great Depression, World Wars I & II. It still stands proudly today with the same small town values and comittment to serving good food to good people generation after generation. The Historic Pines is where anyone local or not can sit a spell, have a good meal and time slows for a minute. Oh and dont get us wrong, we have to find something fun to do! Our lounge is where our locals meet their friends, kick off their boots and tell generations of fish stories. Dont miss this historic landmark while visiting the Oregon Coast.

The Historic Pines serves many generous portioned home made dishes  including fresh seafood omlettes daily using fresh from the docks crab and shrimp. People still drive from the flatlands just to enjoy our Razor Clam breakfast. While others have tried to imitate our success we are still the original. Committed to serving a sailors portion with a smile.
